Week 12-b “Until” in the Blueprint Builder…. Very Cool

keep calm and work hardI modified the Blueprint Builder about a month ago.  Instead of,

“I have clearly written down a description of my definite chief aim in life, and I will never stop trying until I shall have developed sufficient self-confidence for it’s attainment”.

I changed mine to sound like this………..

“I have clearly written down a description of my definite chief aim in life, and I never stop working on myself until I shall have developed sufficient self-confidence for it’s attainment”.

I changed this because a very important person to me said way back that “Tryin is lyin”.  I hated that he said that all the time and so did the other students but by the end of the class we believed it.  When someone asks you to come over to their house and you say you will TRY……well that most likely means that you won’t or are afraid to say that you don’t want to.  He always told us it was a way to not commit.  That’s why I had to take it out because I just kept seeing his darn face every time I read that LOL.

I have thought of this part of the BPB probably for several hours all together since starting to read it.  That is why I chose the picture I did for this blog.  The comforting part about this in the BPB is that we just need to keep calm and never give up UNTIL…………that’s the secret word right there.  UNTIL, that means we work UNTIL, persist UNTIL, and do our best UNTIL.  There are two really a cool things about this word:

  1.  UNTIL means “up to the time that” implying that it IS GOING TO HAPPEN, which is basically the opposite of IF which implies an “uncertain possibility”.
  2. It is not an emergency or a huge rush or hurried thing.  So we just keep calm and work UNTIL “We now know that we have the ability to achieve this definite chief aim for our lives.”

  1. I didn’t notice that one with the BPB – great catch! I have been editing a whole lot of “wills” out of lots of things. It’s getting hard to read the “wills” when they appear – much more fun to eliminate them. I am changing my BPB to follow your lead! ThanKs!

    • Yeah I actually seem to have to put effort to read the wills in OG now they seem to pass by which is kind of a cool effect of taking charge like we do every month. Thanks for visiting and encouraging me

  2. Now that we’ve met, I’m really enjoying reading your posts, and specially liked this one about the TRY syndrome — I work hard at keeping that word out of my vocabulary, and whenever anyone else uses it, I just smile and say, “well maybe another time, because I hear ‘no’ when someone says ‘try'”… sure gets some people’s attention–so let’s keep spreading the truth about “try”!! Blessings…
